Do you perform ENT surgery in-house?
Yes. FESS (endoscopic sinus surgery), septoplasty, tympanoplasty, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and nasal polypectomy are all performed by our own ENT surgeons at Sharanya. Complex ear and head-neck cases are handled by Dr. Shashank Saurabh, DNB (ENT) with a Fellowship in Otology. You are not referred out to another hospital for the operation.
Do I need an ENT, or will a general physician do?
For a mild cold or a sore throat, a general physician is usually enough. See an ENT when a problem keeps returning or does not settle — recurring ear infections or discharge, a blocked nose lasting more than a few weeks, hearing loss, ringing in the ears, vertigo, repeated tonsillitis, or a hoarse voice for more than two to three weeks. These need an endoscopic look inside, which a general OPD cannot do.
Do you treat children?
Yes, both children and adults. The common paediatric ENT problems we see are recurring ear infections and glue ear, enlarged adenoids with mouth breathing and snoring, blocked nose, repeated tonsillitis, foreign bodies in the ear or nose, and tongue tie.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
