Safed daag ka ilaj

Choose your clinic
White patches can be treated, and the right approach depends on one question: are your patches still spreading, or have they been stable? Dr. Sakshi Singh checks this first, then plans medicines or surgery.

Spreading or stable?
This decides your treatment.
New patches, or old ones growing
The first goal is to stop the spread, using medicines and creams. Surgery is not done at this stage, because new patches can appear in the treated area.
No change for a long time
When patches have not grown and no new ones have appeared for a long time, usually about a year, they can be treated with melanocyte transplant or dermaroller microneedling.
What is melanocyte transplant?
Vitiligo patches are white because the skin there has lost its pigment cells, called melanocytes. In a melanocyte transplant, a small piece of normal skin is taken, usually from the thigh, and its pigment cells are separated in the clinic.
The white patch is gently prepared and the cell suspension is spread over it, so pigment can return gradually over the following weeks and months.
Dermaroller microneedling is a simpler option for some stable patches. The doctor may combine it with medicine applied to the patch.
